The impressive new boiler was supplied by C&F Quadrant and installed by John Lynn Plumbing & Heating Ltd to replace a system at Mid-Ulster District Council’s offices in Cookstown that was around 40 years old.
“Energy efficiency was the key factor in this project and the Unical XC-K ticked all the right boxes,” explained Damian Lynn of the Cookstown based contractors. “We have worked closely with C&F Quadrant in the past and we have always found them to be a knowledgeable and reliable supplier.
“This was the first time I’ve ever installed a Unical boiler and I was very impressed. I will happily install them in future.”
With energy efficiency so central to the success of the project, the Unical XC-K oil condensing boiler proved the perfect choice. The project had to meet the requirements of the ErP regulations and with Unical’s certified efficiency of 109% and a four-star CE efficiency class rating (according to according to 92/42/CE Directive), it easily met this prerequisite.
As a large water content, stainless steel, condensing boiler, Unical XC-K is available in 12 different models (from 124 to 2160 kw) and is an excellent choice when, for installation reasons, it is necessary to use a large water content condensing boiler.
The metals used for the boiler are of very high quality, with the outer shell manufactured using high-resistance carbon steel. The tube bundle is self-cleaning, thanks to the natural washout that the condensate produces for gravity.
The Unical offers very high saving and seasonal efficiency, thanks to the adoption of fan-assisted modulating burners and to the hydraulic connection, prearranged for two return connections (high/low temperature).
While this is the first oil installation in Northern Ireland, the Unical range is already proven across Europe in some of the harshest environments, including Siberia.
C&F Quadrant has an exclusive distribution agreement with Unical to distribute the leading Italian manufacturer’s range of commercial boilers in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
