Revamp at Bassetts Greencastle

As part of the continuing investment programme by the company, the Greencastle branch has been revitalised with new signage and a fresh lick of paint while the trade counter has been upgraded. Internally, two new members of staff have joined the team, with Sean Hughes and Robert Martin bringing added experience to the trade counter and stores. The changes have been completed with the inclusion of a full range of spares now being available over the counter at Greencastle.

Located on the Shore Road just off the M2 slip road, close to the Whitewell Road in the north of the city, the exterior changes will help make the most of this superb location, in particular the addition of the clever new signage.

All the changes were overseen by Branch Manager, Paddy Lowry, who explained how all these have already begun to pay dividends.

“We have enjoyed increased sales and a boost to morale, both of which has helped take the branch to a new level,” he said. “We are well established in the area and have a very loyal customer base but the new signage will make a big difference when attracting passing trade.

“We already have a very experienced team, so Sean and Robert have added to that. The introduction of a complete spares service at Greencastle will also enhance our service to customers as they can now choose from a fully stocked range of spares.

“The revamp will help us get ready for the heating season during the autumn and the extended product range, alongside our fire and plumbing parts, is set to bring new faces into our branch.”

The changes at Greencastle are part of a significant investment programme across all Bassetts branches in Northern Ireland which started in 2015 and is set to continue throughout 2016.

With Coleraine and L’Derry already completed alongside the opening of a new bathroom showroom at Boucher Crescent in Belfast, a number of other branches are set to benefit from this investment programme.

Managing Director, Alan Wright, added, “The Greencastle revamp is part of our 2016 branch investments, with Omagh, Downpatrick and Dungannon currently in the midst of refurbishment .

“Having been named Northern Ireland’s top Plumbers’ Merchant for a third, successive time, we must ensure that we keep ahead of the competition and maintain our award-winning standards.”
