L-R: Comedian Rod Woodward, Joan McGreevy, CTS Projects and CEO of the AGSM & AESM, Claire Heyes.

The awards, which were held in Manchester on 2nd November, reward the important collaboration and innovation in the gas safety industry across the UK.

The Inspirational Business Woman Award was presented to Joan in recognition of the significant contribution she has made to the success of Warrenpoint-based CTS Projects since joining the company at its inception in 2005.

Deputy Managing Director at CTS Projects, Serena Hylands, said, “We are thrilled that Joan’s achievements have been recognised at this prestigious UK-wide industry ceremony.

“She has been with CTS Projects since the very beginning, with responsibility then for setting up our core business processes and she has played an instrumental role ever since in everything from our approach to tendering, recruitment of our talented team and in enabling us to become ISO accredited.

“The business is now one of Northern Ireland’s largest and fastest growing heating contractors and facilities management companies, and we owe a lot of our current success to all the hard work Joan has put in over the last decade with us.

“She has worked tirelessly to ensure we reach our potential and has proved an inspiration to the wider CTS team, setting an example of how things should be done and going above and beyond to cement our position as a market leading business.

“Winning the Women’s Leadership Award is a fantastic opportunity to thank her for the wonderful contribution she has made in what has traditionally been a male-dominated industry.”

The judges said – “The Inspirational Business Woman award goes to a true entrepreneur, creating jobs, showing true grit and determination to make this once small start-up thrive and become a well-respected business.”

Members of the Association of Gas Safety Managers are responsible for providing safe, sustainable, affordable warmth to two and half million homes and in public buildings across the UK, which can only be achieved by working closely with suppliers.
