Enhance your knowledge with Grant Training Academy

With 40 years of experience in developing efficient and innovative heating solutions for households across Ireland, leading boiler manufacturer Grant has a reputation built on excellence.

Such excellence permeates throughout the company, from the hard work of Founder Stephen Grant and his team, to the support of industry professionals through the Grant Training Academy which champions excellent standards and high-quality boiler installations.

Reflecting Grant’s commitment to providing its customers with the best service, the Training Academy at Crinkle, Birr in Co. Offaly equips Grant installers with latest knowledge and skills needed for their products, and offers a unique, tailored course for each model.

The training courses are led by technical experts from the Grant team who have a wealth of practical knowledge and installation practice, and feature a unique tour of the Grant manufacturing facility where visitors are given the opportunity to see first-hand where Grant appliances are designed and produced.

Taking place in Grant’s purpose-built Training Academy, which includes a lecture room, practical solar training area, product training laboratory and refreshment facilities, the free courses are available to installers, service engineers, plumbers, merchants, architects, local authorities and BER Assessors. Moreover, those taking part in the Academy will soon be able to avail of the brand-new Training Academy Facility which is set for completion later this year and is part of a €7million major expansion plan being implemented by the company.

Keith Scully, Technical Representative and trainer at Grant, said, “We pride ourselves on the range of courses that our Training Academy offers industry professionals. By offering a valuable insight into each of our heating technologies, installers who attend our courses are equipped with the best product knowledge and installation best practice techniques, which ensures that our customers are fully satisfied.

“Over the years, our Training Academy has not only bolstered Grant’s reputation for reliability and products that are second to none, but has also reinforced the great work of our network of installers across Ireland.”

Each course is specifically tailored to give a full insight into Grant’s portfolio of heating appliances. The condensing oil boiler training for the Grant Vortex covers the mechanics of the boiler, boiler efficiency ratings, building regulations, flues, combis, and the importance of the boiler passport.

Training is also available for products featuring renewable technology, including the VortexAir Hybrid which offers the best of both worlds with the combination of the award-winning condensing oil boiler and the Aerona3 air source heat pump. This popular course at Grant’s Training Academy equips the installers with a full understanding of how to fit and maintain this dual heat source system, giving an in-depth focus on two of Grant’s leading heating technologies.
