The search is on for the province’s top plumbing and heating installers, contractors, merchants, people, projects and products with the return of Northern Ireland’s Plumbing & Heating Awards 2016.

The biennial awards night has proved to be an amazing success since it was originally launched in 2012 and this year we are again set to honour the best of the best in our industry.

There are new award categories this year to ensure that the full spectrum of the diverse plumbing and heating industry is recognised.

Our respected panel of judges have the difficult task of selecting the winners of Northern Ireland’s Plumbing & Heating Awards 2016 –

Peter Clarke
Chair of the judges’ panel, Peter has been involved in the awards since inauguration in 2012, and has over 50 years’ experience in the plumbing and heating industry. He has spent many years with a major plumbing and heating merchant and, having worked his way up in the industry, is able to provide a unique perspective across various aspects of the plumbing and heating industry. Peter is a member of the Domestic Heating Engineers and also currently serves as a consultant to a diverse range of manufacturing businesses.

Anthony Mulligan
Anthony has an extensive record of experience in both the energy and insulation industries. Responsible for Flogas sales across Northern Ireland, and now also the Republic of Ireland, he has helped drive the company’s hugely successful growth in Ireland and internationally, where the group is now one of the leading suppliers of LPG in Western Europe. Anthony feels that the back-up assurance of quality plumbing and heating equipment, together with first-class installation and service for their customers, is central to the success of Flogas. He views initiatives such as the Plumbing & Heating Awards as central to the continued success of both industries and is pleased to play his part in this year’s awards.

David Blevings
David Blevings is Manager for OFTEC Ireland and also represents the NI Oil Federation and Irish Petrol Retailers Association. He is a prominent industry advocate and spokesperson for these leading oil trade associations. In his broad role, David collectively represents the key sectors that comprise the oil industry in Ireland, ranging from home heating oil distributors and manufacturers of oil boilers, tanks and ancillary fittings to the installer sector and fuel retailers. A Chartered Surveyor, David has worked in the energy sector for more than 20 years and has been at the forefront of key legislative changes and the setting of industry best practice standards across the oil sector. David has been a judge of Northern Ireland’s Plumbing & Heating Awards since 2012 and served as Chairman of the judges’ panel in 2014.

John Leonard
John has 38 years’ experience in the plumbing and heating industry and currently heads up the family-founded domestic plumbing company, Joseph Leonard Plumbing & Heating, which his father founded many years ago. He was formerly President of the NI Master Plumbers Association and is currently President of SNIPEF (Scottish & Northern Ireland Plumbing Employers’ Federation), the trade association for plumbing and heating businesses based in Scotland and Northern Ireland, with over 750 member firms employing over 3,500 plumbers and 700 plumbing apprentices.
