HETAS, a not for profit organisation offering a competent person scheme for installers of wood, biomass and solid fuel appliances and heating systems, has launched its popular Registered Installer scheme in Ireland.
Already well established in England and Wales, the HETAS competent person scheme enables installers and servicing businesses to demonstrate their competence and professionalism.
Commenting on the launch, HETAS Training and Technical Support Manager Mike Harvey said, “One of the benefits of the scheme is the highly acclaimed Technical Helpline Support available to registrants. HETAS is unique in that the helpline is specific to solid fuel and biomass with three dedicated staff available to answer calls from registered installers on any matter arising in relation to installation.
“Installers are also able to request advice over email and access the technical area of the HETAS website which contains useful information on appropriate Regulations, British and European Standards, HETAS Technical Bulletins, Guidance and much more”
