Established four years ago by Peter Doyle, who has over 20 years’ experience in the plumbing and heating industry, this dedicated service has proven popular with fellow plumbing and heating contractors.
Leak Locator works as a sub-contractor for the installer, manufacturer, kitchen fitter, home/business owner or insurance companies, allowing them to offer this as an additional service.
Peter explained, “We had been providing this service to utility companies for a number of years but after demand for our services increased, we established Leak Locator in its own right. Since then, we haven’t looked back.
“The majority of our work comes from plumbing and heating contractors who require our specialist expertise to trace a leak and, where necessary, repair it. While most of our work has been in the Greater Belfast area, due to continued investment in our specialist equipment and our staff, we want to expand this across Northern Ireland.”
Leak Locator uses a number of proven methods to accurately find hidden water, sewer and gas leaks. These non-invasive techniques include thermal imaging, acoustic testing and tracer gas and are applicable for use on domestic and commercial applications.
