EPS marks its milestone 50th anniversary in 2019 – a huge accomplishment for any company.

The family business started in 1968 with just 2 employees, but that figure now stands at almost 500 – as, over the past five decades, EPS has grown from a modest electrical and pumping services business into an innovative, internationally exporting product and service provider, now focused upon the water, wastewater and clean technology sectors.

Since 1968, EPS has expanded its footprint both in Ireland and internationally. As well as 3 premises in Mallow, the company has regional branches in Ballyhaunis; Mountrath and Naas, Newtownards; Alton; Thetford and Lichfield in the UK, as well as Amman, Jordan, providing access to over 5,500 products from the company’s global partners and supply chain.

EPS is the largest Irish-owned company involved in the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of water and wastewater treatment solutions, pumping solutions and their ongoing operation and maintenance. Managing Director, Patrick Buckley, says the entrepreneurial spirit shown by the original founders and partners who were in their early 20’s when the business began, remains with the company to this day.

“As one of the largest distributors of water treatment equipment in Ireland, we have a firm belief in innovation, product research and introducing new solutions to our customers, which keep EPS in its market leading position,” says Patrick.

Most recently, the company has focused on expanding its water treatment solutions, launching the eSoft range of cabinet water softeners and EPS integrated UV disinfection systems.

“EPS are distributors for leading manufacturers such as VIQUA, Ecosoft, Atlas Filtri and Cintropur”, says Shane Corcoran, from EPS’ Water Treatment department.

“As well as domestic applications, we can also provide reverse osmosis units for the catering industry, Ecosoft’s ROBust being one of the most popular solutions.”

With Ireland’s love for coffee growing exponentially, the ROBust is the barista’s best friend and the perfect solution for small cafés or large restaurants requiring 500L to 3000L of water per day.

“The ROBust’s HoReCa filters provide the best quality water for drinking water and coffee making purposes,” says Shane. “It’s compact – yet has a high capacity – is easy to install and simple to maintain.”
