Baxi gets smart with new thermostat and combi boiler launch

As part of a major heating season push, Baxi is bringing out the big guns with the launch of a pioneering new combi boiler and a new smart room thermostat which allows customers to control their heating using an app.

The leading manufacturer has also introduced a new campaign to get home-owners talking about its boilers through a targeted consumer promotion designed to support Baxi installers.

All these latest developments were recently highlighted by Sharon English, Baxi’s Area Sales Manager at the NINGA Night in Belfast, with installers learning about how Baxi is making life easier for them this heating season.

The new Baxi 600 Combi comes with a seven-year warranty and is set to make light work of the complex installation process for today’s busy heating engineer. It has been specifically designed with the needs of the installer in mind and follows extensive research by the brand, which identified ease of installation, efficiency and reliability as the top product priorities for the hardworking engineer.

As a result, the Baxi 600 ticks all of these boxes. The pipes behind facility is within the boiler casing while the internal components layout has been designed to allow for easy servicing. A centre flue makes for the easy replacement of older boilers and the Baxi 600 also comes with an industry-leading choice of flue lengths, bends and accessories.

Despite having robust brass components, the boiler is extremely lightweight, weighing in at less than 30kg, and it is small enough to fit into a cupboard.

For the first time, Baxi has also introduced its own smart control, uSense. Compatible with all combi boilers using the 230V switch live, it can also connect via OpenTherm for additional features. With its own app, householders can use uSense to control their heating via a smartphone or tablet. Users can also monitor their energy use and costs, so optimum money-saving settings can be calculated.

These product launches will be boosted by a new campaign that hinges on Baxi’s Reevoo rating of 98%, which is based on the views of genuine UK householders. Reviews are independently collected and verified by Reevoo, with Baxi’s rating based on the opinions of over 500 home-owners who have registered their Baxi boiler warranty.

Baxi will support its loyal installer base by raising the brand’s profile amongst the home-owner audience, just in time for the winter months. Alongside a brand-new website, installers will notice Baxi advertising everywhere from billboards to broadsheets to radio stations.
