Customer satisfaction is at the heart of new promotions at BSS Group – a leading provider of pipeline and heating solutions.
BSS Group has two branches in Ireland – Belfast and Dublin – and to further consolidate the company’s leading position within the Irish industry, two key managerial roles have been filled in-house.
Jason Warnock has been promoted to Business Director, while Brian McAdam has been promoted to the role of Branch Manager. The pair will work alongside Sales Director, Pat Kelly. Leaving behind a wealth of experience, Brendan Coghlan, Commercial & Operations Director, also recently retired from BSS Group.
Before taking up the Business Director position, Jason held the role of Branch Manager from 2004 to 2016. Jason is now tasked with driving the business forward, growing the existing business and looking for new opportunities in the marketplace.
“We’re based in Dublin, but given the buoyant market, both in Dublin and around the country, we are keen to expand the operation to offer a more seamless service. Moving forward, we also want to ensure customers are aware of the vast range of products that we stock.
“We feel that there’s a huge advantage to the personal touch, so 2017 will be about reinforcing our commitment to customer service, which is something that we continually aim to improve.”
BSS Group also maintains an important presence online, with much of the company’s business carried out via its website.
Before his promotion to Branch Manager, Brian McAdam held the position of Key Accounts Manager at BSS Group for 14 years. New responsibilities include the day-to-day running of the branch which comprises internal sales, transport, warehousing and health and safety, to name just a few.
Although his new role means he won’t be on the road as much, Brian is still responsible for maintaining business with the major contractors.
“Performance-wise, 2016 was extremely positive for BSS Group. We expect business to be even better this year and we’re actively looking at new products that will enhance our offering to customers and fit into the existing range that we provide.”
Both Jason and Brian say the Dublin market is currently thriving, with lots of activity also happening around the country. The pharmaceutical sector in Cork is performing well, while the water business industry continues to provide steady work for the company.
With the acquisition of Pegler & Louden in 2003, BSS Group has positioned itself very strongly in the commercial industrial market. Sectors serviced by the company include pharmaceutical, power, water treatment and petrochemical. Through a knowledgeable staff and an extensive product range, the firm has the ability to diversify and move into other sectors. Meanwhile, the emphasis is very much on maintaining existing business and keeping an eye on the marketplace to take advantage of any opportunities that may arise.
