The stage is set for Dowds Group to team-up with the South Eastern Health & Social Care Trust on the Ulster Hospital’s Theatre 8 Project.
Beginning with building demolition and removal of redundant mechanical and electrical services, the added challenge will be to dovetail the works with a live hospital environment.
The project involves the strip out and reconfiguration of the existing Endoscopy Suite to provide the new Theatre 8 and associated procedure rooms. Remaining works include internal drainage connections, structural support works, floor levelling, formation of new partition walls, decoration and finishes, new internal doors and screens, new mechanical and electrical systems, provision for new fixed furniture and provision of new flooring and new ceilings throughout.
Dowds Group’s Build Department will partner with the company’s M&E division to provide a total project solution, with this challenging project scheduled for completion early in February 2021.
