Flair celebrates 70 years

Founded in County Cavan in 1952, Flair has built up a trusted reputation as a specialist in the production of quality shower doors and bath screens. 

The Irish-owned company’s reputation has stood the test of time, making it the oldest manufacturer of its kind in Ireland, and a brand of choice for customers internationally.

Acquired in 2012 by The Sanbra Group (run by the Murphy family), Flair has continued to deliver an unwavering commitment to customer care, combining lifelong knowledge and expertise with advanced production techniques. 

Since its formation 70 years ago, Flair has evolved in harmony with the changing trends in the bathroom industry, particularly manufacturing baths and moving towards bath screens then shower enclosures.

Employing over 80 staff members, Flair is a major design innovator in the bathroom industry and has received international recognition for its stylish product creations.

Commenting on reaching the significant milestone anniversary Martin Murphy, Managing Director said, “Celebrating 70 years in business is an amazing achievement and testimony to the hard work, talent and loyalty displayed by our long-standing employees. They believe in the brand and are dedicated to the company and its core values.”

The anniversary year was the perfect time for Flair to exhibit at its first KBB Exhibition. KBB is the biggest trade exhibition in the UK bathroom industry, held every two years at the NEC in Birmingham.

Looking forward, Flair Showers aims to remain at the forefront of shower design innovation for many more decades to come.

Flair is a well-established and reputable manufacturer of quality showering enclosures wet room screens and bath screens designed by its talented design team in Cavan and Dublin.

The company is locally owned and puts a great emphasis on the quality of both their products and level of customer service. This is reflected in the growth of the Flair team and their market share over the past decade. 

Flair invests heavily in the development of its products, as Ronan O’Grady, Head of Product Design for Flair explained, “The bathroom is a sanctuary and a functional room that must withstand daily usage, so we design our products with family life in mind; every detail is engineered to offer luxury, practicality, and durability.

Martin commented: “While our success story involves our company vision and core values, the other critical piece of the puzzle is the support of our employees, many of whom have been with the company for three or four decades.”
