Grant unveils new underfloor heating

As Grant continues to drive the industry forward and diversify their product portfolio, they have launched their new Uflex underfloor heating solution

Since 1978, Grant has offered industry-leading home heating solutions to customers throughout Europe and beyond. From condensing oil-fired boilers to a growing range of renewable technologies, Grant supplies thousands of loyal customers with their wide range of highly efficient and reliable heating products. The newest product, Uflex underfloor heating, will see the company adding to their existing range of modern heat emitters including the Grant Afinia aluminium radiators and Grant Solo fan convector radiators.

Grant’s Uflex underfloor heating is a viable option for a wide range of projects, from one-off new builds and room extensions through to larger multi-property developments. The system offers convenient, highly efficient heating, especially when paired with a heat source like the Grant’s Aerona3 R32 air source heat pump. The pipework is installed during the initial stages of the property’s development, which means no delay in drying. The pipes are positioned and clipped into place once the flooring’s insulation and membrane has been fitted, after which a flow screed is laid over the top of this and allowed to fully dry before heat is introduced.

The Uflex system also includes a self- adhesive edging strip which is located around the surrounds of the area the screed is laid. This strip also comes with a unique ‘skirt’ design which provides an overhang, curving alongside the wall, containing and sealing the screed. The strip also reduces heat loss where the floor meets the walls and allows for expansion of the floor. As the system is designed for continuous operation, with heat being supplied all day, this means that the screed acts as a thermal store. In addition to the mechanical components such as pipework and manifolds, Grant also supplies the necessary controls to operate the underfloor heating system as efficiently as possible. With the touch of a button, controls can be set to provide different room temperatures and different time intervals on individual heating zones, with a wireless option also available. Commenting on the Uflex underfloor heating, Barry Gorman, from Grant Technical Sales is confident of its strong position within the brand’s existing ranges, “Launching our heat emitter offering was a natural step for us to take with the Afinia and Solo ranges of radiators. These products have been very well received within the industry, and the Uflex underfloor heating system has complemented the offering nicely and enables us to provide customers with a well-rounded choice of modern heat emitters.”

The Uflex underfloor heating is a key component within Grant’s Multiple Package Solutions offering. This complete solution provides tradespeople working on new build or deep retrofit projects with the opportunity to save time, by having a property’s full heating requirements designed, quoted and supplied by the technical specialists at Grant; who can ensure optimum efficiencies by accurately combining multiple heating technologies into one convenient package. This free service also ensures correct product sizing to meet the property’s exact heating requirements, helping to maximise efficiencies and bring the home heating system into a new class of efficiency which can result in greater long-term savings for the property owner and a reduction in carbon emissions for the planet.

Grant’s Multiple Package Solutions incorporate a range of high and low temperature heat sources, including the A+++ Aerona3 R32 inverter-driven air source heat pump and the award- winning range of Vortex condensing oil boilers. Following selection of a heat source, supporting technologies are specified to support the systems overall efficiency including Grant’s new pre-plumbed hot water cylinders which provide high performance and can work with one or more heat source. The final stage in the process focuses on selecting the correct heat emitters to suit both the property and the heat source’s needs and may include Grant Uflex underfloor heating, Grant Afinia aluminium radiators or Grant Solo fan convector radiators.

Grants Multiple Package Solutions are available with three easy steps:
