Greenline continues upward trajectory

Greenline has navigated its second year with style and plentiful success

Since its inception in 2017, Greenline has quickly established itself as the leading heating and plumbing supplier in Co. Meath and has continued to grow in ways that were not initially imagined. A glance at the online reviews really exemplifies the company’s reputation for effective customer service, with many visitors leaving compliments for Greenline staff.

The company can now proudly declare its award-winning status for its services, having been acclaimed for outstanding customer service at Ireland’s Plumbing and Heating Awards 2019. These awards pay homage to businesses which are really blazing the trail in the industry, and attract attention from newly emerging businesses to long- established industry giants. Store Manager, Ray Purfield, described the award as, “great recognition for us” and many patrons of the store were quick to congratulate the fantastic achievement.

Customer service is highly prioritised at Greenline. All members of staff are trained extensively on all products and are on hand to answer every customer query. Ray explains some further detail about why the company focuses so intently on its service, “Plumbers like to come in here because we know what we’re talking about. One of our staff members is a qualified plumber; he knows exactly what plumbers are after and the type of information they need. Donal, my right-hand man, works on the counter and is also very knowledgeable. All members of staff attend training courses every year which means that when a plumber rings us with a question, we know how to help them.”

Although cost is a factor when it comes to product selection, it’s not the most important one. “As a plumber said to me one day, it’s not all about price. There’s no point having a great price and not delivering the product for three weeks.”

Ensuring deliveries get to site when the customer needs them has been critical to Greenline’s success. “A lot of our plumbers work nationwide, so the vans go wherever they’re needed. We work hard to ensure our customers are satisfied with the service they receive from Greenline. That commitment has led to repeat business while reputation of our service has also spread, which means that we’re seeing continued growth in our customer base.”

Now with an award under its belt to both celebrate and evidence the hard work the company has put into its customer service, Greenline shows no signs of slowing down. Greenline has also used their industry knowledge and fantastic products to cultivate plenty of loyal and satisfied customers. Greenline Plumbing Supplies was born out of the idea that customer service and product quality are the two most important factors in gaining repeat business and delivering customer satisfaction, and along with great prices, that is an unbeatable combination for success. With two years of implementing these goals, the company has continued to mature andadvance. Ray reflects on the company’s beginnings,

“Starting out with just two staff, we now have seven and also have three vans out on the road which deliver to building sites throughout the region. Our growth has surpassed all expectations.” Contributing to its growth are the many leading manufacturers that Greenline stocks, which are already well used, liked and represented across many projects in Ireland and further afield. For their plumbing department, brands like DeWalt, Milwaukee, REMS, Makita and Bosch are all proudly on display at the store. Additionally, the company supplies boilers from Grant, Firebird, Worcester, Viessmann and Idealogic and also sanitaryware from Sonas Bathrooms. For their heating department, Greenline supply a broad range of radiators, cylinders, pumps, booster pumps and expansion vessels; water heaters, underfloor heating systems and the latest heating controls are all available. With these products available instore and for delivery, Greenline can cater to any plumbing and heating situation; whether it is a site on a schedule or supplying a whole new heating or renewable energy system. “We have the technology to combat climate change and we can start today,”

Paul Allen, project coordinator for the Centre for Alternative Technology, said in June 2019. Both Ireland and the UK are on a “trajectory” to net- zero carbon emissions by 2050, a significantly bolder ambition than the previous commitment to reduce emissions by 80%.

Doing their part, Greenline stocks a significant amount of renewable energy solutions including heat pumps and solar panels. Going further than stocking and promoting the use of greener plumbing and heating systems, Ray explains, “We have acquired vast knowledge of renewable systems through years of experience with on-site surveys, a special service we offer. We can visit you on-site to advise on the best system to suit your needs and to ensure you have the exact requirements for your project.”

With Irish carbon taxes set to rise from €20 to €80 per tonne by 2030, ensuring buildings have the most energy efficient solutions in place is more important than ever and Greenline has responded to these rising needs with urgency and the personal touch they have come to be renowned for. With the future of Greenline looking increasingly brighter with every triumph, Ray took the opportunity to extend his gratitude to those who have supported the company.

“We have a huge amount of repeat business which is always a good sign. We’re attracting new customers every day and that’s thanks to word of mouth and recommendations from existing customers.”

Ray is also full of praise for his team, who have also made all of Greenline’s success a possibility; Donal Reilly, Assistant Manager; Alan Keating, Sales; Carol Hardimon, Accounts; Noel Faulkner, Driver; and David Bates, Sales Representative. Conveniently located just off the M3 motorway, clients on their way to projects are able to easily collect their orders in the morning. Greenline is open from 7am until 6pm Monday to Friday and 8am until 1pm on Saturdays, ready to greet any client with expert advice and an award- winning smile.
