Heat Merchants service team is growing!

Heat Merchants has added three key staff members to the team to expand and develop the range of services offered to both installers and homeowners.

John O’Shaughnessy has been appointed National Sales Manager and will oversee the business development and renewable sales teams in addition to the departments providing technical design, estimation and after sales services to installers.

John has extensive experience from his time working at both Daikin and Systemlink, in the Irish and European marketplaces. John said he is delighted to join Heat Merchants at such an exciting time of growth and expansion, and hopes to “make a significant impact in our industry and grow the business to its full potential.” 

Donal Reilly joins as National Renewable Sales Manager. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree and has more than 14 years’ experience in renewable energy technologies such as heat pumps, mechanical ventilation, photovoltaic solar and solar thermal systems. 

Donal said, “I am very happy to join the Heat Merchants team where we can provide a first-class service to our customers by utilising our experienced technical design team, estimation department and our team of service engineers.”

As Service and Warranty Manager, Stephen Cullen manages a team of service engineers around the country and schedules commissioning and service calls while also looking after manufacturer warranty requirements for key products including Warmhaus gas boilers and Panasonic air to water heat pumps.

Stephen has worked in the plumbing and heating industry for nearly 25 years and is looking forward to the exciting challenges of expanding his team and managing Heat Merchants service and warranty programme.

John, Donal and Stephen are supported in their roles by the Technical Design and the Estimation teams who provide complete technical drawings, specification for mechanical services for both new builds and retrofit projects.

Technical Design

Mechanical Engineer, Enda McGowan, has over 22 years’ service with Heat Merchants and leads the company’s in-house team of engineers who provide customers with complete technical designs for the mechanical services in both single and multi-residential projects. Enda and his crew of qualified engineers provide bespoke heating system designs to meet all Part L requirements and can assist with technical details for SEAI grant applications for retrofit homes.

The designs meet all regulations and guidelines and are covered by professional indemnity insurance ensuring complete peace of mind for installers. 

Estimation

Paul Merrigan heads up the estimation team, which provides product specification and price estimates for a variety of both multi-residential and commercial projects. 

Paul works closely with project managers to provide the best value and quality while ensuring all mechanical services and plumbing products meet or exceed the specifications.
