Letters P&H set sail with Calor

The partnership between Calor and County Antrim company, Letters Plumbing & Heating, runs deeper than purely business.

The company was established by Pat Letters 35 years ago, and the six-strong team now includes his son, Martin. The Ballymena-based company specialises in plumbing, heating and gas solutions from supply and installation, to service, repair and after sales.

The company has been working with Calor since the business first began and this partnership has just grown stronger.

“We have been working with Calor since day dot,” explained Martin. “Although Calor and its offerings have changed and evolved over the years, their reputation as a reliable and well-regarded brand has not. Our customers feel they are in safe hands when they are using Calor to power their homes and businesses.”

However, the company’s relationship with Calor runs deeper than purely business.

Martin comments, “My father and I are avid land sailors. During school, I was part of the Northern Irish windsurfing team but 10 years ago. I made my departure from water sailing and wind surfing into land sailing and I haven’t looked back. It is a passion of ours. This year we were delighted to be part of the team hosting the 52nd European Sandyacht Championships. Calor supported us and the wider team to host this year’s championships, powering our ambition for this year’s event to be the best yet.”

As a business, giving back to the local community, through supporting local events and initiatives, is one of Calor’s core values. Through its sponsorship of the Letters and this year’s European Sandyacht Championships, Calor was provided with the opportunity to give back to a partner who has supported the company steadfastly over the years.
