New additions to the Heat Merchants team

Heat Merchants has signed up two new members to their sales team: Pat Smith, National Renewable Sales Manager and Peter O’Brien, National Commercial Sales Manager...

Pat Smith will be working to develop sales of renewable energy technology for the company in his new capacity as National Renewable Sales Manager. Pat is a Refrigeration Engineer with over 22 years’ experience in the HVAC industry, having worked in sales, servicing and installation for many years prior to joining Heat Merchant in 2016 as a National Technical Services Engineer.

Over the past three years, Pat has developed a training programme for Panasonic Heat Pumps and now offers regular installer training in the Heat Merchants training centre in Athlone. He also developed an aftersales service programme with a team of engineers now offering heat pump commissioning, ancillary certification and addressing any warranty queries. Pat will be focused on growing sales of renewable energy technology including heat pumps and solar photovoltaic solutions.

Peter O’Brien recently joined Heat Merchants as National Commercial Sales Manager and will be working alongside four Commercial Business Development Managers to develop sales within the multi-dwelling and commercial sector of the business. Peter is a qualified Building Services Engineer and has worked in the construction industry for more than 12 years. He brings with him extensive experience of designing and specifying Pat Smith, National Renewable Sales Manager. heat pumps, commercial boilers and commercial plant room equipment and he has also worked with manufacturers of commercial boilers, combined heat and power (CHP) units and air handling units. Peter will be working closely with Consultant Engineers in the design and specification of heating and hot water systems for a variety of multi residential projects and commercial plantrooms.

FREE HEAT PUMP TRAINING
Heat Merchants is offering installer training on their Panasonic range of heat pumps, which is available free of charge in its Training Centre in Athlone.

The Panasonic Aquarea air-to-water heat pump offers three alternative technical solutions, depending on the property requirements. Each is available in a range of outputs, thus ensuring there is a solution to meet any need.

  • Aquarea High Performance designed for new installations and low consumption homes
  • Aquarea T-CAP will maintain capacity even in extremely low temperature areas and is ideal for refurbishment and new builds
  • Aquarea HT delivers higher temperature water, making it suitable for a house with old high- temperature radiators.

The Heat Merchants technical team will advise on the best option for each specific property and will size it accordingly.
