New look for Bassetts at Clady

Following the acquisition of the Clady Plumbing Supplies business in September 2016, Bassetts embarked on a very significant capital spend that has completely changed the look and feel of the branch.

In fact, the entire 1.5-acre site has been redeveloped to improve customer access and deliver stronger branding at the site.

Internally, as well as developing the trade centre, Bassetts also designed a state-of-the-art showroom to showcase the sanitary ware offering in addition to a dedicated stove and cooker studio.

Yet one aspect that hasn’t changed is the high standards of service for which Clady has become synonymous. These service levels are backed up by an experienced and knowledgeable team and now, as part of the wider Bassetts network, the branch is set to flourish.

The official re-opening, which took place at the end of last year, marked another noteworthy milestone for Bassetts, which is part of the internationally renowned Saint- Gobain Group, and has a network of 16 branches across Northern Ireland.

This significant development demonstrates the company’s ongoing investment programme and reaffirms Bassett’s steady growth over the past 40 years and its position as Northern Ireland’s largest plumbing and heating supplier.

Bassetts’ Managing Director, Alan Wright, said, “We are thrilled with the success of the newly transformed showroom and trade counter in Clady. The new branch has been redeveloped to a very high standard and strengthens our overall offering across Northern Ireland, particularly in the Mid-Ulster area. “Clady Plumbing Supplies provided excellent service to its customers for nearly 50 years and has a great history. We look forward to continuing to build on this reputation and delivering top class services to both retail and trade customers in the area.”

Former Director of Clady Plumbing Supplies, John Mackle, added, “I am very proud of the company and the reputation we have built up over the years and I am delighted that leading plumbing and heating supplier, Bassetts, has taken over the business and will continue to build on our achievements to date.”

A strong focus on superior design, innovation and cutting-edge technology, alongside its commitment to adapting to the ever-changing needs of customers, has been key to Bassetts’ achievements over the past 35 years. A prime example is the Bassetts Visualiser, NI’s first interactive touchscreen software that allows customers to choose from hundreds of wall and floor tiles to easily create the perfect look in their dream bathroom. A Bassetts Visualiser is included in the revamped branch at Clady.

Catering for every need, ranging from boilers and radiators through to bathrooms, showers, tiles and everything in between, Bassetts currently employs over 140 people with 16 branches in Northern Ireland, including Bangor, Belfast, Clady, Coleraine, Downpatrick, Dungannon, Enniskillen, Lisburn, Greencastle, L’Derry, Mallusk, Newry, Portadown and Omagh.
