Uel Kilpatrick joins the company as the new Branch Manager while Dave George has been promoted to Assistant Branch Manager.
Uel started in his new role in June and brings with him extensive retail experience, having worked in the food and clothing sectors for over 30 years.
“I am really enjoying the challenge and learning all about the plumbing and heating industry,” said Uel. “There is a lot to take in and even more industry jargon to get to grips with and I’m the first to admit that my product knowledge isn’t the best. But I’m learning all the time and I am lucky to have a team around me who know the industry and our products inside-out.
“My main focus is on customer service and that is where my experience is making a difference. Ensuring our customers get the products they want and delivered where they want them is my priority – which is the same challenge regardless of where you work in the sales industry.”
Uel believes strongly in team work and he feels that makes a difference at PTS Duncrue.
“We are all playing to our strengths and with Dave as Assistant Manager, I feel we’ve got a superb combination. Dave has all the product knowledge while I am able to put my management skills to good use – all to the benefit of our customers.”
Dave is a long-standing member of the PTS team and the recent promotion has recognised his experience within the company. In particular, his extensive product knowledge is a key attribute.
“Our customers keep us on our toes with requests for information on new products, sizing of heating systems and general advice on challenges they are facing,” said Dave. “I really enjoy that side of the business and making sure we provide the best possible customer service. We have a lot of contract customers as well as the daily work with our regular customers, so there is plenty of variety in my role.
“We have a good, hard-working team and a great set-up in place which makes all the difference.”
