The company – which has an impressive 90,000sqft, state-of-the-art distribution centre in Dublin – offers free next-day delivery to Northern Ireland, meaning customers in the region have ease of access to the Twyford brand along with all the security, the service and back-up SONAS Bathrooms offers across its entire range of products.
“We are delighted to be Twyford’s official distributor in Northern Ireland,” said Richard Sloan, Managing Director of SONAS Bathrooms, commenting on the move. “The Twyford brand has been associated with two generations of the family behind SONAS Bathrooms for the past four decades. “SONAS Bathrooms and Twyford have a relationship going back to when the company was established in 1978. We’ve seen the evolution of the brand from when colours of ceramic sanitary ware were in fashion right through to the current offering.”
SONAS Bathrooms’ Twyford range focuses on the Energy Collections, Moda, Galerie, Clarice, Alcona and Option suites, as well as the full offering of commercial products. It is now available to see in the 2017 SONAS Bathrooms’ collection, with the commercial product offering included in the SONAS Commercial bathroom specifiers’ manual.
SONAS Bathrooms has a staff of 62, with a specific team dedicated to contract and commercial opportunities. Territory Manager, David White, will be liaising directly with customers over the coming weeks and months, with the objective of developing the brand within retailers and merchants in Northern Ireland.
SONAS Bathrooms is a key influencer in the Irish bathroom and construction market and is proactive in generating demand for its products with architects, specifiers, building and plumbing contractors. Richard added, “We are very excited at the opportunity to develop the Twyford brand in Northern Ireland and feel confident of restoring its position as a key product offering for the bathroom and construction industry.
“Our investment in stock and our state-of-the-art warehousing and distribution model enable an average of 95% first-time order fulfilment. This is measured on a daily basis, as servicing our customers’ needs is vital and it is something we take very seriously.”
SONAS Bathrooms also has an in-house team of qualified plumbers who provide a full technical support, spare parts and after-sales service, along with a field engineer for visiting on site for any after-sales issues.
Staff at SONAS Bathrooms want to hear from customers who are planning a new build or a renovation. They offer practical advice and invaluable insight on everything you need to think about before work commences.
Richard explained, “People are becoming so much more discerning about their bathrooms. They are becoming so much more than a functional space within the house – people want to enjoy their bathrooms and relax in them after a long day.
“The products we supply enable them to do that. We offer style as well as quality, and our customer service is second to none.”
In 2014, the company opened a 5,000sqft showroom at its distribution centre in Dublin, with the purpose of allowing consumers, installers, specifiers and retailers to engage with the company’s extensive product offering as part of their decision-making process.
Richard said, “It was a significant decision and investment for us, but undoubtedly it has enabled us to focus more on demand creation for our products with each of our target sector customers.”
