In order to meet the needs of its rapidly growing business, SONAS Bathrooms has moved to a new state-of-the-art 134,0000 square foot warehouse in Ballycoolin. The new modern warehouse ensures a speedy and efficient picking and dispatch process, delivering next day to customers all around the country. As part of the move, SONAS has also invested heavily in a 4,000 square feet showroom staffed with experienced bathroom specialists.
With record sales of €33 million, SONAS Bathrooms is Ireland’s largest distributor of bathroom products, supplying merchants and bathroom retailers nationwide. Operating for over 40 years, the company has grown to become the market leader, renowned for its service and quality product, culminating in a Deloitte Best Managed Companies Award in March 2019. At the launch, Republic of Ireland football manager Mick McCarthy was on hand to cut the ribbon at the official opening in March. Speaking at the event, he said, “SONAS has been so supportive of football in this country and I just felt it was nice to give something back to the company and to come along and hopefully give it a boost.”
Richard Sloan, Managing Director of the company said, “The move is a really important milestone for the business. We’ve a wonderful team of people who have worked extremely hard in making SONAS what it is today. Our move to this new premises demonstrates how as a brand, we’ve moved to the next level. “
He added, “SONAS Bathrooms has been achieving double-digit growth year-on-year; we’ve more than doubled the size of our physical premises and we’ve increased our workforce by 66% over the past three years.”
With SONAS sponsorship of house 2019 this year, the company’s profile has been raised among interior designers, architects and consumers while more and more consumers are seeking out the SONAS brand. The showroom is the ideal space for architects, interior designers or specifiers to send their clients to aid in the selection process, receive technical advice on what will practically work in their bathrooms and of course see the full SONAS Bathrooms Range.
Talking about the showroom service, Richard said, “Often the selection of bathrooms can be a time-consuming process to marry beautiful design with practicalities – at SONAS we live and breathe bathrooms so we’re delighted to help with that process.”
The showroom is open to the public daily with late opening on Thursdays until 8pm and Saturday opening until 1pm.
